Mobile Client:
The Geopepper Mobile Client utilizes the aGPS chip in your mobile device and a data service (see Cost) to automatically send your location to the Geopepper Service. All you need to do is turn it on when you turn on your mobile device and let Geopepper do the rest. You still control when you want to get meeting opportunities, but you don't have to text message your location.

  Geographic Messaging Service (GMS)

Geographic Messaging Service (GMS) is a new media in mobile messaging. GMS messages are delivered based on geographic targeting. Content is sent only once a user has entered the target zone - or geofence - delivered when the information is most relevant.

Geopepper Channel

A channel delivers topical content to a group of subscribers with an interest in a specific topic or type of information. This channel could be managed by a 3rd-party provider, giving you the latest location-based content about events in your area, or it could be your own personal channel where you and your friends can leave messages for one another.

Publishing Permissions:

Some channels will allow you the create messages for yourself and other members of the channel. You can create content for a channel if have an active tab for that channel on your '
message' page.

If the tab is disabled: you do not have permission to create GMSes for that channel.

Cost of Geopepper Membership

Most features of the Geopepper Service (Beta) are provided free-of-charge. However, even if a feature is free-of-charge, you may incur charges from your mobile network provider. Mobile network charges you may incur include but may not be limited to: text messaging, multimedia messaging, and data network access charges. It is your responsibility to be aware of the fees assessed by your mobile network and to pay for these charges.

The Geopepper Mobile application (if downloaded) uses a large quantity of data network bandwidth. Therefore, we recommend that users of the Geopepper Mobile application have a mobile network plan that allows for unlimited data usage for a fixed fee. If an unlimited data plan is not available from your mobile network provider, you should consider not using the Geopepper Mobile application.
